Fixing Long Term Care Act – Resident Bill of Rights
This month we will review the following:
4. Every resident has the right to freedom from abuse.
5. Every resident has the right to freedom from neglect by the licensee and staff.
6. Every resident has the right to communicate in confidence, receive visitors of their choice and consult in private with any person without interference.
Staff Appreciation
On August 14, Fairvern will be hosting an Appreciation event for all our team members. A special BBQ will be held on all shifts to say thank you for the care and compassion that each member shows! If you are here, take a minute to recognize the tremendous work of our team!
Friends of Fairvern Annual Tag Day – Friday, August 2
The Friends will be out around town and surrounding areas on Friday, August 2 collecting donations to enrich the lives of the Residents at Fairvern. In the past, the Friends support has assisted in many areas and this support is truly appreciated. If you see a volunteer while you are out on this day, please thank you them for all they do and consider a donation.

Friends of Fairvern Baking
The Pie Freezer in the Rose Room is fully stocked with freshly made strawberry, rhubarb, and strawberry/rhubarb pies as well as other varieties of baked goods. We have regular size pies and some smaller pies for those who live alone or have smaller appetites.
**Remember all you need to do is take your choice from the freezer and if paying cash leave your money in the black cash box mounted on the wall to the right of the freezer.
**E-Transfer Payments for our baking is now possible by sending it by email to: Friendsoffairvern1982@gmail.com
All the money raised goes towards enhancing the Residents’ lives so please think of The Friends’ baking when you’re planning your next meal.
Fairvern Family Council
Fairvern Family Council will be taking the summer off, and meetings will resume in September 2024. Meeting information will be shared.
