November 2024 Communication
Redevelopment Update
Fairvern hosted our consultants from Bessant Pelech and Associates October 23 -25. Sessions were held with staff focusing on the Small House model and our Food Services model. In total 30 staff participated over the course of the 2 days including some our colleagues from The Pines. The sessions included an overview of the production finish model and foodservice process mapping as well as overview of small house and small house process mapping exercises.
I am also happy to share that as of today, November 7, 2024, the completion of the super structure of our new home is complete! In the original schedule the completion of the roof was slated for January 27, 2025, and it has been completed 52 days ahead of schedule not including Christmas week which is AMAZING. The pouring of footings began on November, 3 2023 which makes it almost a year to the day of starting, that the roof slab is complete. Huge thank you to all the team on site and behind the scenes who made this possible!
Review of Resident Rights – continued
13. Every resident has the right to keep and display personal possessions, pictures and furnishings in their room subject to safety requirements and the rights of other residents.
14. Every resident has the right to manage their own financial affairs unless the resident lacks the legal capacity to do so.
15. Every resident has the right to exercise the rights of a citizen.
Alternate Sprinkler Solution Update
We continue to work with our partners who will be completing the work and at this time, we are still awaiting the appropriate approvals for the project to start. Communication will be shared as soon as the start date has been determined.
Winter Footwear
We have been fortunate to have such beautiful fall weather however that will change. For the safety of our Residents and Staff, and to keep our floors clean, we ask that you not wear your winter footwear into the home. There will be boot covers available in the front vestibule for use and you are free to leave your boots on the boot trays also located there.
Thank you for your cooperation.
