“MEATBALLS & MIND GAMES” Dinner & Show – Update
What a great time was had at the “Meatballs and Mind Games” event which included a sumptuous Italian dinner & an edge of your seat mentalist show by Buzz Collins. He had many participants from the audience and we were left wondering how on earth he was able to do what he did.
It was a pleasure to have Mayor Nancy Alcock attend and bring greetings from the Town of Huntsville & The District of Muskoka & share that the new Fairvern site is expected to be ready for occupancy in the spring of 2026.
Our fundraiser was very successful & The Friends of Fairvern Executive Committee would like to thank everyone who attended to demonstrate their support. We are still in the tabulating phase and will announce what this fundraiser made once we have a final figure.
Tag Day
Another successful tag day was held in August with a grand total of $6695.48 raised. The Friends would like to thank all that donated and to those who donated their time on tag day.
Join the Friends of Fairvern Facebook Page
Please follow, like and share our new “Friends of Fairvern” Facebook Page with your friends. This will help us to increase our public exposure.
Friends of Fairvern Baking
The freezer is now stocked with Wild Blueberry pies at $15.00 each & our delicious butter tarts at $12.00 a box. If you’re interested, best to get one soon as last year they both went quickly. There are still a few other kinds of pies available as well as strawberry/rhubarb or apple crisp.
A reminder that we have regular size pies and some smaller pies for those who live alone or have smaller appetites.
**Remember all you need to do is take your choice from the freezer and if paying cash leave your money in the black cash box mounted on the wall to the right of the freezer.
**E-Transfer Payments for our baking by sending it by email to: Friendsoffairvern1982@gmail.com
All the money raised goes towards enhancing the Residents’ lives so please think of The Friends’ baking when you’re planning your next meal.
Donations Needed
The Friends are looking for donations of either 250mL or 500 mL empty preserve jars. If you can help, please contact Marlene Schell at 705-789-4363.
