Cedar and Oak Outbreak Update, March 3, 2023

The Oak Home Area remains in an Enteric Outbreak and the Cedar Home Area remains in a Respiratory Outbreak at this time. We currently have ten (10) residents with symptoms (such as vomiting and diarrhea) on Oak and nine (9) residents with symptoms (such as cough, horse voice, sore throat and lethargy) on Cedar. Tests have been sent out for the residents in Cedar. Family members of the affected residents have been notified.

No General Visitors to Cedar and Oak Home Areas at this time. Essential Caregivers may visit to a maximum of two (2) at a time.

Enhanced Infection Control Measures at this time on Oak and Cedar include:

  • Increased hand hygiene
  • Increased PPE audits and hand hygiene audits
  • Twice daily symptom screening on Cedar unit
  • Staff cohorting where possible
  • All individuals are to be masked through the home, including common areas.
  • Mandatory N95 masks and Eye protection at all times on Cedar
