January 2, 2023- COVID-19 Outbreak Declared Maple Home Area

In collaboration with Public Health, the Maple Unit at The Pines has been declared Covid -19 Outbreak. We currently have 2 confirmed Covid Positive residents on maple with 2 other symptomatic residents with an unknown pathogen.

Enhanced Infection Control Measures at this time on Maple include:

• General Visiting is suspended at this time; essential caregivers only.
• Increased Personal Protective Equipment audits and hand hygiene audits
• Twice daily symptom screening on Maple unit
• Staff cohorting where possible
• Mandatory N95 masks and Eye protection at all times on Maple
