January 6, 2023- Outbreak & Enhanced Surveillance Update

The Maple Home Area remains in Covid -19 Outbreak and Unknown Respiratory Outbreak at this time.

Currently, there are three (3) confirmed Covid Positive residents and four (4) other symptomatic residents with an unknown pathogen.

The Birch Home Area remains under Enhanced Respiratory Surveillance with one (1) Covid positive resident and two (2) residents with an unknown pathogen.

Enhanced Infection Control Measures at this time include:

No general visitors to Maple Home Area at this time. Two (2)Essential Caregivers at a time.
Increased Personal Protective Equipment audits and hand hygiene audits
Twice daily symptom screening on Maple and Birch unit
Staff cohorting where possible
Mandatory N95 masks and eye protection at all times on Maple
Eye protection and surgical masks on Birch
Twice daily cleaning of high-touch surfaces.
