RE: Phase 2- Site Blasting at 100 Pine- Thursday, March 27 to Friday, April 11
Between 8:00am and 5:00pm

Between Thursday, March 27 to Friday, April 11, 2025, phase two of the selective rock blasting will be completed to the expansion of the parking area at the north end of the construction site, located behind the rear parking areas for McVittie Place and The Pines. To minimize disruption to the property, localized blasting is being completed to avoid the prolonged noise that would result from the use of mechanical equipment to fracture and remove the rock. This blasting will be similar in noise to Phase 1 completed in fall 2024. This blasting will take multiple days to complete, and a secondary notice will be issued when a firm start date is provided from contractor.

Residents will hear a three-horn system during blasting 30 seconds prior, and again immediately before and at completion of the blasts. It is recommended to keep your windows closed on this day to reduce any noise or dust within living units. It is recommended that vehicles avoid the rear parking lot to avoid dust or potential damage during this time. Residents and staff are requested to park on Pine Street or plan to be off premises, if possible, during the completion of this work.

All residents and guests are requested to use the main entrance to access and exit McVittie Place to further minimize risk and avoid the construction area. During the blasting activities, the fire route will be closed to foot traffic. The municipal sidewalks along Pine Street are recommended for use. For your safety, please obey all safety signage and fenced work areas during construction. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
