As we head into the winter the activity staff like to still attempt to get residents outside for fresh air when the sun is shining and it is not so cold. It would be very helpful to have hats, mitts, boots and/or coats available for your loved one. If you are able, please bring these items in.

After-Hours Process to Enter the Home:

• If you require to enter the home after-hours, please pick up the phone in the vestibule and dial 4825 (which is posted with the phone).
• The call will go to the Registered Nurse, and she will be able to assist you in entering the home.

Emergency Number for the Registered Nurse:

• Normal process is to call 705-645-4488 ext. 4825.
• If this does not work or you have issues with the phone system at the home, please call 705-641-0319 to speak directly with the Registered Nurse.

Masks are required at all times in the home at this time related to concern of virus spread as well as the increase in virus cases in our community.

N95 masks are available in the front vestibule. Please take one before you enter if visiting on a unit that requires one (Birch, Cedar or Oak). This will help reduce un-necessary waste.

No General Visitors, only Essential Caregivers at a maximum of two (2) at a time for each resident in the affected home areas.

At this time, Cedar, Oak and Birch home areas remain in outbreak with COVID and other pathogens.

Residents have respiratory symptoms that include nasal congestion, cough, lethargy, sore throat and/or mild fever.

The following enhanced measures have been implemented:

• Symptomatic residents are in isolation on droplet/contact precautions
• Enhanced cleaning of high touch surfaces twice per day
• Surveillance of residents to identify any changes or development of symptoms
• The required personal protective equipment (PPE) when on the unit is N95 and eye protection.
• The required PPE for isolated residents is droplet contact precautions including N95, eye protection, gowns and gloves.
